America Movil Reduced Stake in Telekom Austria

America Movil has reduced its stake in Telekom Austria from 59.7 percent to 51.89 percent. The Mexicans have thus complied with provisions of the syndicate agreement with ÖBIB, in line with which America Movil had to raise the free-float share stake.

A1 Wants to Accelerate Landline Internet with LTE

The Austrian client wants ever more bandwidth for faster Internet and higher image resolution. Nevertheless, in terms of availability of landline Internet access Austria is under OECD average. For this reason Telekom's subsidiary A1 wants to invest EUR 500 million (USD 557 million) in expansion and offers to accelerate its clients' Internet access with LTE and a "A1 Hybrid-Boost"-modem.
