The waste water treatment plants of Istanbul are being operated by an Austrian firm. The Austrian firm Wabag has been operating a network of 124 units for over a year now. Every day some 4.2 million cubic meters of waste water is being pumped through the facilities. The value of services rendered by Wabag amounts to EUR 50 million (USD 57 million).
