Chemical Industry: Investments Fell, TTIP Endorsed

The chemical industry in Austria still struggles with stagnating revenue, Hubert Culik, head of the association of Chemical Industry in Austria, said during a press conference. Revenue of the industrial sector stagnated for a second year in a row: in 2015 sales fell 0.3 percent to EUR 14.86 billion, with most of the revenue being generated by the plastics segment. 15 percent of sales is generated by the pharmaceutical industry.
