Welcome Air to expand its flight network

According to the Austrian Times, Tyrolean airline Welcome Air announced today that it would expand its flight network by autumn this year.

Firm chief Helmut Wurm said the integration of South Tyrolean airline Air Alps, which merged with Welcome Air in 2009, would be complete by this summer.
Wurm noted that challenges facing the civil-aviation industry were getting bigger and bigger and predicted that large carriers would seek to enter "niches" during the next 10 years.
