Strabag Secures Orders in Poland for 170 Million Euros

Austria's largest construction group has received orders worth 170 million euros in Poland. The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) awarded three road contracts to the Polish subsidiaries of Strabag, said the listed company in a release.

"Poland is the third most important market for us - we celebrated our 30th anniversary this year, and we offer our entire product range in Poland: from road construction through civil engineering and project development," explains the CEO of Strabag SE , Thomas Birtel.

The total volume is divided into two lots along the S19 north of Warsaw for € 73 million, or € 43 million, and a lot along the S61 in southern Poland for € 54 million. The lots of the S19, also called Via Carpatia, are planned to be finished until April 2021. Along the S61, the so-called Via Baltica, in addition to the two lanes, two service areas (restaurants), a bypass road and a total of 16 bridge structures are to be built. This contract is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
