Slovakian Unemployment on the Rise
In July, Slovakia´s unemployment quota rose by 0.12 percentage points to 13.27%.
Against June 2012, the increase was 0.07 percentage points. In total, 358,700 persons are unemployed. Together with persons not available for work, 399,100 persons are without a job. In Eastern Slovakia, the unemployment quota reaches about 19%. In the medium term, the Slovakian Labor Centre (UPSVaR) expects the unemployment quota to stabilize or increase slightly.
