Serbia: GDP Decreased by 1.7 % in 2012

Based on data released by the Statistical Office, GDP fell by 1.7% in 2012. Broken down by quarter, real y-o-y GDP fell by 2.7% in Q1, 0.3% in Q2, 2.1% in Q3 and 2.0% in Q4.

As indicated by the seasonally-adjusted data for February 2013, industrial production picked up by 2.1% from a month earlier. Y-o-y, it expanded by 13.1%. Manufacturing, mining and electricity, gas and steam supply recorded y-o-y growth of 17.0%, 24.1% and 0.6%, respectively.
