Polish Business Service Sector Booming
In 2011, 38 new business service centers were established in Poland. The number of employees doubled since 2009.
Poland establishes as hub for business services. Last year, 15,000 jobs were generated in this sector. From a global point of view, only China and India show higher growth rates in the business service sector. According to analysts, the high education level and the good knowledge of foreign languages are substantial reasons fort he business service boom in Poland. Last year, the outpout of the sector came at € 4.0bn (+33%).
An end of the boom is not foreseeable. It is expected that the Polish business service sector will employ roughly 100,000 specialists at the end of this year. The most important buiness services are business process services, information technology services, shared service centers and research centers.
What is more, Poland will be Europe´s second most attractive business location in the coming three years, a report of Ernst & Young says. Above all, Poland has a highly skillend and efficient workforce. The business climate is perceived to be well, the legal security and the tax system are well-developed, the report stated. Regarding the foreign direct investment figure, Poland ranked eighth in 2011. Ernst & Young managing partner Duleep Aluwihare stated that Poland is starting to distinguish itself among CEE countries. The global crisis was managed better than by the Czech Republic or by Hungary.
