Austria´s Finance Minister Maria Fekter wants to upgrade the Austrian state holding ÖIAG.

Maria Fekter suggests that ÖIAG should take over the stakes of publicly held banks. „As long as I am responsible therefore, ÖIAG will not be liquidated. By contrast: I am in favor of upgrading ÖIAG.“
At the moment, the Austrian state is the sole owner of Hypo Group and Kommunalkredit. Moreover, there is a 42% stake in VBAG. Fekter wants to shift these stakes into ÖIAG.…
