The annual inflation rate of the consumer price index slowed down to 1.7% in August 2014 (July 1.8%).

The annual inflation rate of the consumer price index measured by Statistics Austria slowed down to 1.7% in August 2014 (July 1.8%).
This slight decline was primarily due to significant price reductions for clothing items compared to August 2013.
In addition, fuel prices slowed down even more than in July.
