According to reports by the Croatian media, Erste Group has expressed interest in acquiring the Croatian affiliate of ailing Hypo Group. As announced by the newspaper "Vecernji list" referring to “informed circles in Croatia”, Erste Group plans on taking over the Hypo’s business in CESEE countries, and therefore the ones in Croatia.
