Energieallianz Austria Continues Expansion
The Austrian energy trading company opened its third office in Germany, where supply volumes have increased more than tenfold since 2007.
Energieallianz Austria (EAA) continues its international growth course. After the opening of a new office in Berlin, Austria’s largest energy trading company is now represented in three German cities already.
“We are very satisfied with the growth of our German business. With the opening of the new representative office in Berlin we want to continue our expansion course in the northeast of Germany”, stated managing director Christian Wojta. Up to now, EAA was operating on the German market through its offices in Munich and Essen. Since its market entry in 2007, the company has increased its supply volumes more than tenfold. By 2012, the total volume should reach three terawatt hours (TWh), which would correspond to about the half of power consumption of the city of Hamburg.
EAA provides its 3.2 million customers with electricity, natural gas and all related services. Last year, the company supplied 18 TWh of power and 17 TWh of natural gas and achieved turnover of more than € 2bn.
