CSC Establishes its CEE Headquarters in Vienna
The U.S. IT service supplier CSC upgrades the Viennese subsidiary as regional headquarters for ten countries.
The IT service and consulting company CSC established its new headquarters for Austria and Eastern Europe. Moreover, the CEO of the Austrian subsidiary, Norbert Haslacher, also becomes CEO of CSC Eastern Europe. Besides Austria, the regional headquarters will serve the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Turkey, Serbia, Bulgaria and Lithuania. In total, CSC Eastern Europe has a workforce of 1,800 employees.
CSC Austria is based in Vienna, Linz, Graz and Klagenfurt and employs 340 staff members. Haslacher expects further growth. “Above all, customers of CSC benefit directly. Besides local and global customers, we may serve Austrian companies, which are engaged in Eastern Europe. Thus, we may offer better access to cross-border IT solutions. As a result, we may reduce costs for IT services and improve our customer´s competitiveness.”
Haslacher emphasizes that the U.S. headquarter of CSC decided in favor of the Viennese business location. “Especially in economically difficult periods, we are very happy with that decision. 300 workplaces are secured and 35 further are created. The decision by CSC proves that Vienna provides an attractive investment environment for global companies.” says Renate Brauner, financial senator of Vienna.
CSC, which is based in Falls Curch, Virginia, has a global turnover of $ 16bn and employs 98,000 staff members.
