Austrian Export Award 2014 for Above-Average Export Commitment

As part of a festive gala evening in Vienna's Museumsquartier, the Austrian Export Prize 2014 has been awarded by the Federal Minister for Science, Research and Economics, Reinhold Mitterlehner, and the President of the Economic Chamber Austria (WKO) Christoph Leitl.

Economy Minister Mitterlehner and WKO President Leitl awarded Austria's most successful export firms.

As part of a festive gala evening in Vienna's Museumsquartier, the Austrian Export Prize 2014 has been awarded by the Federal Minister for Science, Research and Economics, Reinhold Mitterlehner, and the President of the Economic Chamber Austria (WKO) Christoph Leitl.

"The export price is an important seal of quality and fetches Austrian flagship company before the curtain. The excellent companies contributing their services help ensure that products and services 'Made in Austria' become more popular than ever." Mitterlehner stated. "The strong international orientation of our economy secures growth and jobs in Austria."

"The Export Awards Gala brings Austria's top exporters into the focus. We want to use the evening together with representatives from business, politics and the media to to say "thank you" and to set a strong signal. For anyone who has success, its light must not be less a bushel but must be duly celebrated, " Leitl said.

The prize is awarded in six categories:

  1. Commercial & Trade,
  2. Trade & Industry,
  3. Information & Consulting,
  4. Tourism & Leisure Industry and
  5. Transport and Traffic.


Also, a company which has built up a strong position on the world market in recent years, which has an efficient network abroad or has become in goods or services exports a pioneer in a particular country or industry may obtain the "Global Player Award"for the successful internationalization of a company.

Furthermore, the "Expat Award" is awarded to an individual who has contributed outstanding achivements as head of an Austrian overseas subsidiary to Austria's foreign trade.

Division trades and crafts
Winner: LOGICDATA Electronic & Software Development GmbH (Steiermark).
Recognition awards: MHMS Mechatronic Solutions KG (Tyrol); NextSense Measuring and Test Systems GmbH (Steiermark).

Trade sector
Winner: Ingrid L. Blecha GmbH (Lower Austria). Recognition awards: Inandout Distribution GmbH (Steiermark); Premium Estates Marketing GmbH (Burgenland).

Industrial Division
Winner: Doppelmayr ropeways GmbH (Vorarlberg).
Recognition awards: HOERBIGER valve Werke GmbH & Co.KG (Vienna); Miba Bearing Group (Upper Austria).

Division Information and Consulting
Winner: ANEXIA Internet Service Ltd. (Carinthia). Recognition awards: I-New Unified Mobile Solutions AG (Burgenland); VBW International GmbH (Vienna).

Tourism and Leisure Industry
Winner: cross field's Viennese coffee GmbH (Vienna). Recognition awards: Romantik Hotel Krone - Pfefferkorn GmbH (Vorarlberg); SANLAS Holding GmbH (Steiermark).

In Transport and Traffic
Winner: Österreichische Post AG (Vienna).
Recognition awards: RUSSIA Fachspedition Dr. Lassmann GmbH (Vienna); Tyrolean Jet Service Nfg GmbH & Co. KG (Tirol).

Global Player Award: Rosenbauer International AG. Recognition awards: Greiner Holding AG; OMV AG; SKIDATA.

Expat Award: Karl Rüdisser, Managing Director of the Austrian fittings manufacturer in the United States (General Manager and CEO of Blum, Inc.).
