The Austrian carrier improved its operating profit by 30% in the third quarter 2011. A positive result, however, will not be achieved in the full year.

Austrian Airlines achieved an operating profit of € 31.6m in the third quarter of 2011, thereby improving its result by 30% (third quarter of 2010: € 24.3m). Cumulatively, this means an operating loss of € 31.5m for the first nine months of 2011. This is the equivalent of an improvement of 29% compared to the previous year (1-9/2010: € -44.4m).
